Marketing delivers GROWTH by EARNING business

This week, as some governments have announced that they’re starting to prepare for a potential lockdown scale back, I’ve been having conversations with our clients around what their marketing approach could be over the next three months.

And to be honest, it’s an an impossible question to answer because no one nows what the new reality is going to look like.

But I’ve been doing what I always do when I’m stuck: going back to basics, going back to the drawing board.

I believe that the fundamental role of marketing is to earn business from consumers. That is, to grow business by meeting consumer needs & wants. By delighting.

So my answer has been to keep it simple: stay close to your customers, stay close to your purpose, and find ways to delight where the two intersect.
